Journey outline. This page describes the sacred places this journey is planned around. Dates, duration, price, accommodation and transport are not yet published — they are confirmed with you personally when you enquire.

Overview

Age, illness or disability should not have to stand between a pilgrim and the shrines they long to visit. This journey is planned at a gentler pace, around the needs of elderly travellers and people with disabilities or mobility limitations, including those who are maʿzūr (معذور).

Every traveller's needs are different, so we begin by listening. We then tell you honestly which kinds of assistance can be arranged for your dates and destinations — and which cannot — before anything is booked.

Important places

  • A gentler pace with more rest between visits
  • Wheelchair and mobility assistance, where available
  • Support planned around each traveller's needs

Itinerary

A confirmed day-by-day itinerary is shared with you on enquiry.

Inclusions

Confirmed with you on enquiry — depending on the arrangements you choose.

Exclusions

Confirmed with you on enquiry, so you know exactly what is and is not covered.

Documents & visa notes

  • A passport with validity well beyond your travel dates — your travel consultant will confirm the exact requirement.
  • Visa requirements differ by nationality and change from time to time. Current requirements are confirmed with you before any booking.
  • Recent passport-size photographs and copies of your documents are often requested.
  • Please let us know about any medical conditions, mobility aids or medication you travel with, so arrangements can be discussed realistically.

Important travel considerations

  • Assistance at the shrines themselves is managed by each shrine's administration and may vary, especially at busy times such as Arbaeen.
  • Some assistance options may carry additional charges. These are always explained and agreed with you in advance.
  • We recommend that pilgrims with medical needs consult their doctor before travelling and, where appropriate, travel with a companion.
  • Travel documents, visa policies and regional conditions can change. Please confirm current arrangements with us before making any travel commitments.
  • Access to shrines and some areas is managed by the shrine administrations and local authorities and may be adjusted at busy times.
  • Comfortable footwear, modest clothing and personal medication are recommended for every Ziyarat journey.

Assistance & Facilities

Support that may be arranged

  • Accessible transport

More accessible or more convenient transport options, where they can be secured.

  • Help with movement & essentials
