Kadhimayn, in northern Baghdad, takes its name from the two Imams buried there: Imam Musa al-Kadhim (a.s.), the seventh Imam, and his grandson Imam Muhammad al-Jawad (a.s.), the ninth Imam.
Their shared shrine, with its twin golden domes and four minarets, is a central stop on most Iraq Ziyarat journeys.
